The Board for Gender Equality and Diversity hosted a two-day online workshop titled “Improve Your Visibility – Female Scientists in Social Media” from May 20 to 21, 2025. The event was led by science communication expert Eva Lindner and brought together female scientists from geography, economy, anthropology, soil-science and history.
On the first day, participants explored how to effectively share scientific findings and offer authentic insights into their professional lives through social media. Eva Lindner provided a comprehensive overview of various platforms and content formats, and highlighted their potential for public engagement, participation in thematic discourses, and networking within the scientific community.
The second day guided the attendees through the development of personalized online strategies. This included the creation of engaging social media posts and information about platforms for personal websites.
The workshop was highly interactive, and featured practical exercises, group discussions, as well as opportunities for reflection and exchange. After the two days, the participants left with new tools and inspiration to enhance their digital visibility.
