Job Opportunity: Postdoctoral Researcher, Starting at April 1st, 2020

The Rheinische Friedrich‐Wilhelms‐Universität Bonn is an international research university that offers  a wide range of degree programs. Starting at April 1st, 2020, preliminarily limited to a fixed contract until 31.03.2022 the group Economic and Agricultural Policy in the Institute for Food and Resource Economics is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher (100%)  to work within the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) \”Future Rural Africa ‐ Future‐making and social‐ecological transformation\”. The CRC combines expertise from the two Universities of Bonn and Cologne to study newly emerging issues of social‐ecological transformation and future‐making in Africa. The specific role of the successful candidate is to develop theoretical and empirical economic models about the role of aspirations in future oriented decisions by rural households in  Africa. Besides the analysis of already collected data, a key task is the involvement in the preparation of a research concept for the second phase of the CRC.
