Future Rural Africa Spokesperson Britta Klagge gives a presentation during the on-site review in July 2025.

Britta Klagge from the University of Bonn is the CRC’s designated spokesperson for the third phase, after Michael Bollig (University of Cologne) held the position during the second project phase (2022-2025).

Apart from the Universities of Bonn and Cologne, the interdisciplinary research network also includes the Bonn International Centre for Conflict Studies (BICC), the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), the University of the Western Cape, the Charité at Humboldt University in Berlin, the University of Potsdam, and the Futurium Museum in Berlin, as well as numerous cooperation partners in Eastern and Southern Africa.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the German Research Foundation (DFG) and to everyone who has contributed to the success of our project since its inception in 2018, and during the on-site review in July 2025.
