Vision of Future Development: Airports – Conservancies – Development Corridors.

How Does ‘Development’ Contribute to Future-Making in the Global South?

Members of the development geography group at GIUB present case studies of contested land use change, land tenure and livelihoods in the Global South.

The studies highlight the the visions, hopes and expectations of local actors, and their capacity to influence future developments.

Case studies from Africa and India, rural and urban areas under different governance systems.

Johannes Dittmann and Rene Vesper: Growth Corridors and Conservation Areas in Africa
