Professor Theobald Frank Theodory Appointed to NEMC Board of Directors


We are proud to share that Professor Dr. Theobald Frank Theodory of Mzumbe University, Tanzania, and cooperation partner of Project C03 Green Futures, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Environmental Management Council (NEMC). NEMC is a government agency in Tanzania responsible for overseeing and coordinating environmental management activities in the country. It plays a key role in implementing environmental policies and ensuring that development projects comply with environmental regulations.

The appointment, made by the Honourable Hamad Masauni, Minister in the Vice President’s Office for Environment and Union Matters, took effect on March 11, 2025, and will span a three-year term. This prestigious role acknowledges Professor Theodory’s exceptional expertise, commitment, and contributions to the field of environmental management.

His leadership and insights will support NEMC in its vital mission to protect Tanzania’s environment, safeguard the country’s natural heritage and promote sustainable environmental practices across the nation. Professor Theodory will also continue to actively contribute to the research efforts of the Collaborative Research Centre Future Rural Africa.
